This Beercation was my desire to ski Heavenly and I have never been to Reno or Lake Tahoe. This was my first view of Lake Tahoe as I was driving in from Reno. Nice sunny day too.
I picked Tucson for a warm weather destination and to knock off another National Park. See the National Parks section for the pics of the Saguaro National Park. The first snow of the season in Denver and the plane de-icing process slowed my departure by 1.5 hours.
This trip was inspired by my sister having a work trip here and I have not been to San Antonio since A.F. Basic Training at Lackland AFB and I recall we never left the base. Lots of old architecture and I added a few days for myself so I could visit the Alamo, The Tower of the Americas, and the breweries. This is the Omni La Mansion Del Rio fancy schmancy place we stayed at, its right on the Riverwalk.
Fall in Bozeman you never know what the weather will be doing. When I landed it was cool and snowing lightly.
Gratitude Brewery is always a good stop. I have been visiting my friends Pam and Lindsey every summer for the last few years. We have beers and lunch out then dinners at home every night. They are wonderful hosts.
This trip was about seeing the sights of Seattle. I had been here before visiting friends in Bellevue but I did not go up in the Space Needle. I had to buy a timed entry ticket beforehand so once I landed I drove here and parked. 1pm entry time. Clear blue skies!
There is limited direct flights to Burlington so I had to stop in Chicago and at O'hare I had a nice Chicago dog which I have had those before but seemed appropriate. It was tasty.
I flew out and used Uber instead of renting a car. Lots of breweries and things to see within a few miles walking distance of my hotel. First stop Huntington Beach Beer Co.
Milwaukee's Brewers Hill where Pabst used to be brewed.
I traveled to Indy to see the Total Eclipse and Sun King Brewery made a special beer for this event.
Great views on the way to Durango
I visited Bozeman 3 years in a row each time visiting all the breweries and driving down to Big Sky ski area. I love the town off tourist season. Yellowstone is close by so busiest in the summer. My first stop is usually MAP Brewery for a beer and lunch. This lake is right outside the brewery.
I flew into Philadelphia Airport so I had to stop and visit where Rocky ran up the stairs in the movies. Cool scene.
